Sooner or later, most of you will have a loved one who is battling cancer of some type. On August 23, 2009, I leaped from a perfectly good airplane at 13,500 feet above Long Island. The event was also an important opportunity to do something for a lot of people far braver than I am. I called my jump “Leap for Life” and raised over $15,000 in tax-deductible donations for cancer research.
Leap for Life 2009 was such a smash success that I have now organized a Global Leap for Life that YOU can not only donate to, but can PARTICPATE IN! It’s a first-of-its-kind event, spanning cities and states and even countries. I’m inviting first-time or experienced skydivers from around the world to go to their local drop zone and jump — on the weekend of August 21-22, 2010! You can set up your own web page through LiveSTRONG by clicking on the word “DIVE” below. You can accept donations from friends, family and co-workers, and all tax-deductable donations will go directly to the Lance Armstrong Foundation.
Meanwhile, even if you can’t make the jump yourself, please be generous to help find a cure for cancer by clicking on the word “DONATE” below.
